This ferry, opened in 1780, is the oldest continuing business in Kentucky. It is located on Tates Creek Road, South of Lexington.
Kentucky is a very diverse and interesting place. You have the seclusion of Appalachia, urban life in Northern Kentucky, old money in the blue grass, and Southern hospitality in Western Kentucky. Each region has their own culture, landscape, and history. One third of my life has taken place in Kentucky. My wife and son were both born here. Welcome to My Old Kentucky Homepage!
